Birthday Birds

I have a lot of Birthdays coming up so  you are going to see many Birthday Cards! Here is a flip it card I made for my grandmother!  Happy Birthday Mam Maw!

I used the Sizzix Circle Flip-Its #4 die set for this card.  I cut the base using Pixie cardstock from TSOL and the panels are from pattern paper from TSOL.  I stamped the birds on some smooth paper from Bristol and used Zig Clean Color brush markers to color them.  I used the coordinating die set to cut the birds, cage, and swing.  I added Sizzix adhesive sheets to my cardstock before cutting out the cage and swing.  This makes it so much easier to adhere to your project.  Since the cage was so intricate, I used the Sizzix precision base plate on the bottom instead of a regular cutting pad.  It cut out great!! I stamped the hearts with Passion Flower Ink from Hero Arts.  I added a little epoxy dot the the greeting and twine to finish up the card.

Get Whale Soon

Here is another card using items from Stephanie Barnard/The Stamps of Life.  I love her flip it die sets!  These die sets make it easy to create a quick card to brighten someone's day!

I cut out my cardstock base using the flip it die set and the panels from patterned paper.  I stamped and die cut the whale and added glossy accents to the water spouting from his head.  I added Zazz glitter glue to the border on the right side to give it some sparkle.

Valentine's Day is just a few days away! Here are some cupcakes dressed up with easy to make cupcake toppers and wraps!

The toppers were made using the Sizzix Big Shot and heart dies.  I also used  a stamp set from the Stamps of Life sampler2 love and coordinating dies.  I glued them to a stick and tied a bow with some bakers twine.

For my Best Pal

I am a dog person so I love to make cards with cute dogs!  The cute pup and sentiment on this card is from Paper Smooches Woofers and Tweeters stamp set.

I started with a piece of Kraft Cardstock as my card base and stamped the tree image from the Sizzix Birds stamp set with dies on the Kraft cardstock.  I used the coordinating die to cut the tree and the leaves out of scraps of cardstock.  The grass was cut from Lawn Fawn's grassy border die.
and the white piece was cut from Lawn Fawn's Stitched Journal Card die.  The sentiment was heat embossed with white embossing powder.

I love to do card challenges!  They make me more creative by thinking outside the box and I am challenged to do things that I would not normally do! I am entering this card in the following Challenges...

Celebrate Stand Up Card

I love using dies!  I use dies on almost every project I do!  I don't know how I ever made cards or scrapbook pages before I owned a Big Shot or Cuttlebug!

Here is a Birthday card I made with many dies.
Here is the card standing up.

 The front of the card...
and the inside if the card.

The balloons were cut using Sizzix Triplits Balloon dies and wool felt from Stephanie Barnard.
These dies are so much fun because you can mix and match the dies to make hundreds of different designs!
The card base and panels were cut using Sizzix Royal Stand Up Dies.  The Celebrate word and shadow dies are from The Stamps of Life's new card kit.

After die cutting all my pieces all I had to do is glue and assemble!  It was easy and fun!  I just played around with the die cuts until I liked the placement and design.  I used bakers twine for the balloon strings and tied them together.  I also went over the word Celebrate with a clear Wink of Stella brush tip pen.

I am participating in a blog hop hosted by Pretty Pink Posh.  Make sure you click HERE to see what other crafters have created using dies!  So many great ideas!

I am also entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.
