Celebrate Stand Up Card

I love using dies!  I use dies on almost every project I do!  I don't know how I ever made cards or scrapbook pages before I owned a Big Shot or Cuttlebug!

Here is a Birthday card I made with many dies.
Here is the card standing up.

 The front of the card...
and the inside if the card.

The balloons were cut using Sizzix Triplits Balloon dies and wool felt from Stephanie Barnard.
These dies are so much fun because you can mix and match the dies to make hundreds of different designs!
The card base and panels were cut using Sizzix Royal Stand Up Dies.  The Celebrate word and shadow dies are from The Stamps of Life's new card kit.

After die cutting all my pieces all I had to do is glue and assemble!  It was easy and fun!  I just played around with the die cuts until I liked the placement and design.  I used bakers twine for the balloon strings and tied them together.  I also went over the word Celebrate with a clear Wink of Stella brush tip pen.

I am participating in a blog hop hosted by Pretty Pink Posh.  Make sure you click HERE to see what other crafters have created using dies!  So many great ideas!

I am also entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.

Happy Crafting!

  4. Wow, Amy, that's amazing! Love how the balloons peek over the edge of the card when it's standing. And wool … now you've given me an idea :) Thanks so much for sharing!

  7. Very pretty card! I have never die cut using felt but is something I should try. I love stand up cards as well and just finished making one for my friend's birthday. I have not posted it to my blog as yet.
